A Resource Manager oversees their own team resource allocations, rejections or amendments.
Resource requests for named staff within a team will be sent to the resource manager for review and allocation. Note: This role only applies if a site wishes to search for preferred individuals in a resource request. See ‘How to set up an organisation chart’ for more details.
Via the organisation chart
To add a new resource manager, click on the Administration Cog > Manage Users > Organisation Chart.
On the chart, locate the user you wish to make a resource manager and click on the downward arrow to the right of the ‘Add’ button. Select ‘Edit’.

A new pop-up will appear. Click on the ‘Resource Manager’ checkbox:

Click ‘OK’.
The user will now have the resource icon next to their name in the organisation chart - . Going forward, the individual will receive all notifications for any users linked to them in the chart and will be able to allocated resource requests.
Via manage users
To add a new resource manger, click on the Administration Cog > Manage Users.
Locate the user you wish to make a resource manager and click on ‘Edit’ to open up their user profile. Click on Actions > Resource Management:

A new pop-up will appear. Click on the ‘Resource Manager’ checkbox:

Click ‘OK’.
Going forward, the individual will receive all notifications for any users linked to them in the organisation chart and will be able to allocate resource requests.
Top Tip
- To remove these permissions, simply follow the steps outlined above and un-tick the checkbox.
